The main feature of the Kalvarienberg is the impressive Calvary scene, from where there is a superb view of Poppenhausen. On the way to the peak the visitor is guided through the Stations of the Cross. At the end of the trail there is a stone chapel which was built in memory of the plague in 1736. Another particularly fascinating sight on Kalvarienberg is the lovingly designed grotto of the Virgin Mary, the Mariengrotte.
