Another place of interest well worth visiting in Poppenhausen (Wasserkuppe) is the Sieblos Museum. The entrance is a replica of a mine tunnel. The museum offers a wide range of diverse fossil finds from the Rhön as well as insights into the work of local fossil-hunter Hugo Schubert. Admission to the museum is free of charge and its opening hours are the same as those of the town hall.
